Operations Manager

Marvin Stone III serves as Operations Manager at CMC Development & Construction, bringing more than four decades of construction industry experience since beginning his career in 1978. Originally from Wichita, Kansas, Marvin offers a disciplined, field-driven approach shaped by decades of hands-on leadership across a wide range of commercial and institutional projects.
Marvin has extensive experience in program management, new construction, and complex renovation projects, with project types spanning K–12 education, higher education, public assembly, corporate, and commercial facilities. Prior to his current role, he served as a Project Executive, overseeing major projects such as multi-service worship facilities, university build-outs, campus improvements, and master-planned educational developments.
A LEED Accredited Professional, Marvin emphasizes constructability, quality materials, and sustainable practices throughout the construction lifecycle. He works closely with field and office teams to manage preconstruction and construction activities, subcontractor procurement and buyouts, schedule optimization, cost control, RFI coordination, pay application reviews, and change management—ensuring projects are executed efficiently and to CMC’s standards of excellence.
As Operations Manager, Marvin plays a key role in mentoring project managers and superintendents, strengthening communication between the field and leadership, and reinforcing consistent operational processes across projects. His depth of experience, steady leadership style, and commitment to craftsmanship make him a trusted operational leader and a critical asset to CMC’s project delivery team.
