CMC Development & Construction is proud to be delivering the renovation of the Lone Star College School of Cosmetology, transforming an existing building into a modern, fully code-compliant instructional facility designed to support hands-on learning and professional training.

Transforming an Existing Facility Into a Modern Learning Environment

This project involves the comprehensive renovation and site redevelopment of a 16,500-square-foot existing structure, reimagined to meet the unique requirements of a cosmetology program while aligning with Lone Star College’s academic standards and campus operations. Our team is providing full construction services—from selective demolition and sitework to interior build-out and major building system upgrades—ensuring a seamless transformation from start to finish.

Scope Built Around Instruction, Safety, and Accessibility

The renovated School of Cosmetology will include specialized instructional spaces such as classrooms, teaching labs with salon stations and shampoo bowls, faculty offices, break areas, and fully ADA-compliant restrooms. Upgrades also extend to the building exterior and site, with new sidewalks, ramps, landscaping, and drainage improvements to enhance accessibility and campus integration.

To support long-term performance and reliability, the project includes complete replacement of major building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, and low-voltage infrastructure. All work is being performed in strict compliance with applicable codes and regulations, including ADA, Texas Accessibility Standards (TAS), and Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) requirements for cosmetology programs.
